The Axe

You swing the axe at it's head but it ducks, It grunts and snarls and steps back. You get ready to swing again and the smelly stinking creature leaps forward, but before it reaches you, the swing of the axe finds the blade in the creatures head. The rotting creature falls to the ground with the axe firmly stuck in it's head. You can clearly hear your own rapid breathing, realizing the craziness that just occurred. And for that smell....THAT STINK!....it still remains. Maybe that was the smell of victory you thought. No..., probably the rotting creature you realize. You are victorious! You make your way back to the fork in the road to chose a different path.
